PASSPORTS!!

We were finally able to get the 3 of us together and get to the Pierce County office to apply for our passports today! It makes me super nervous to have to send Gavin's Certificate of Citizenship away for 4 - 6 weeks but they assured me that we would get it back. I'll be counting the days :).

We finally had some beautiful weather today! It's about time! Especially since it is officially summer now. We took Gavin to the Tot Lot and he has such a nice time.

Until next time.

Documents....documents....documents....

I made the very stupid mistake of thinking that it would be a great idea to put my certified copies of our birth and marriage certificates in our 3 ring binder.....so I punched holes in them only to find out while trying to obtain a passport that punching holes in those certificates is a huge no-no!! Ooops!

So, I ran around like a chicken with the head cut off trying to get our certificates again. And, of course they all can't be in the same stinkin' building! OF COURSE NOT!
Well, I got them and now I can relax a little bit....at least until July 14th, when our Social Worker comes over for the Homestudy.

Until next time ;-)

STARTING THIS ALL OVER AGAIN!

So, here we are again. On another adoption journey. This time it shouldn't be as long as we are hoping to be traveling to China next summer to bring home our daughter!
We are also having second thoughts about naming her Lily. It is the name that we picked out seven years ago, but it has become such a common name, especailly for girls adopted from China. We are thinking about Ava or Maya. What do you all think?

We just got back from Port Townsend. It was Gavin's first camping trip. He and Daddy slept outside in the tent while I stayed in the trailer with my Mom and Dad (there is no way I could sleep on an air mattress). We had so much fun! Gavin loved playing in the sand!
Until next time :-)
